On the way home from the airport after the honeymoon, we picked up our tree. Real, of course! That night, as we also unpacked from our Mexico honeymoon, we strung lights on the tree and put up the 5 ornaments we had and some red bows. To us, it looked beautiful! The following week Sean's mom passed some of their old ornaments to us and we bought a few, too. Along with the tree, I made sure there were candles and something "Christmassy" is every room.
Where all we went:
The great thing about living within a 50 mile radius of EVERY single person you're related to is that you get not one, but many, opportunities to eat and share time with friends and family.

Our first Christmas Morning
Woke up at 5:30. Puppy sleeping quietly next to the bed- ready for delivery to Sean's mom! We opened stockings that were left by Santa under the bed. Mine included chap stick, lotion, and some candy. Sean's included candy, candy, more candy, beef jerky, and a sweet love note! Following stockings we went to the living room, puppy in tow, to open our gifts to and from one another. Sean got me a camera and an amazingly beautiful oil painting of one of our wedding pictures (aww). I got Sean a drill, Columbia fleece zip up, and a Columbia fleece pants. The morning was so peaceful and full of joy. We have so much to be thanful for- anything under the tree was just gravy!
Tradtions?
-I liked our stocking being hid under the bed. It was fun opening them as soon as we woke up.
- Yule Log on T.V. stayed on all night-Christmas music playing
